Watch your Back: Week May 21 to 27
It is national elections day today in Greece, and thankfully there's just a couple of crowdfunding releases for me to write about before I head out to cast my vote.

Into the Godsgrave is the latest project by Lucky Duck Games, and it is app-driven as usual. This is a 1-4 player cooperative adventure game in which you control a group of mercenaries in a land where the old gods have been killed, and the followers of new gods have arrived.
The companion app will determine the quests, the encounters with enemies, and the items you gain. Encounters are resolved by dice roll skill checks, and you may use your cards to mitigate the result. It is launching on Gamefound on May 23.
Personal opinion: I don't want apps in my board games, so this one's out of the question.

El Burro: A La Granja Game is a 1-4 player dice drafting and pick up-and-deliver game in which you are a farmer in Majorca transporting goods from the farm to the port.
Deliveries are carried out with donkeys and goats. You will be racing to deliver the goods before your opponents do, and may even be delivering to your opponents if you use goats. The game comes with a solo mode the details of which haven't been revealed yet. It is launching on Gamefound on May 26.
Personal opinion: I have not played the original La Granja, so don't have a point of reference. Reviews say that El Burro is more complex. We don't know anything about the solo mode anyway.

Let me also mention that The Last Spell: The Board Game is launching on May 23 on Kickstarter. It is a 2-4 player cooperative tower defense game. It doesn't say clearly that it can be played solo, or at least solo two-handed, but it seems highly likely.
In the meanwhile, Ruse: Instincts of the Den and Loam have launched, respectively on Kickstarter and Gamefound.
And Realms of Enchantment as well (a game that would have been featured in the planned Freshly Added post of last week if I had had time to write it; I had no clue it would launch so soon!).
It seems Into the Godsgrave was always supposed to launch on Kickstarter, not Gamefound. Anyway its launch date has been pushed back to next week, there is a countdown on their website.
The Last Spell launches today May 24. I am also inclined to believe it will be soloable because all of Tabula Games latest releases have been (often adding a stretch goal solo mode).
Same as Hana I will have a look at The Last Spell for the exact same reason as her.
And I already mentioned I would look Into the Godsgrave, despite it being app-based, which is usually an automatic pass.
Good luck in the elections.
From these it seems I will have a calm week, though I will look at The Last Spell, albeit I know nothing about the IP. But Athena said "tower defense". A magic word.
