Watch your Back: Week June 19 to 25
This is going to be a quick post since, as far as I know, there's just one soloable game launching next week. Let's check it out.

You may remember Matthew Aslin from his previous solo design, The Ratcatcher. He is now coming back with Drop Bears: Survival Series, Chapter 1: a cooperative adventure game set in the Australian Bush. The mention of a series in the title is hinting at more games like this to come, we'll see.
Drop bears look like big bloodthirsty koalas, and they are going to attack a group of campers visiting the national parks. Characters can move and explore tiles, rest and heal wounds, or search for any useful items. If a camper dies, they are replaced by a new one, but if too many are devoured, you lose. It is launching on Kickstarter on June 21.
Personal opinion: This looks like an okay game. Not bad, but nothing special either. I remember Zerbique strongly disliking The Ratcatcher, although this one may be more fun. I would prefer more variety in the enemies, and I'm not too keen on the idea of replacing a camper with another, I like to get attached to the characters I'm playing.
It's funny, if you asked me late last year, I'd say I'm looking forward to Drop Bears. But the more was revealed, the more lukewarm I became. And the picture showing wooden campers and plastic drop bears... I don't know... doesn't look good? I may prefer a simplified meeple, not one that tries to look like a standee with full colours, cause then the shape doesn't make sense unless you look at the picture and the picture is too small for me to care. And when you shouldn't care about individual campers, more of a reason for simplified pictures just so you don't get overly attached. Anyway, I'm turning into an old grumpy...
Blood-Thristy Koalas? Yikes!

Ah! I enjoy the quiet! (Did Thanos snapped most KS out of existence this week?)
Indeed, given how much I disliked Ratcatcher, there is no chance I would back this one.
