Watch your Back: Week July 31 to August 6

A chill week games-wise is ahead of us, with just two releases. Let's see what they are.

***

Tiny Robot Love Doctors is a 1-4 player spatial puzzle in which robots are trying to eliminate Fear, Greed, Rage and Gloom from a patient's heart, so that only Love remains. The solo mode is essentially the same as the multiplayer one.

You will fill the board with 'evil' tokens, and then use your cards and special character abilities to swap tokens and remove them if they match the shapes on your cards. At the end of the game, you check your score to see how well you did. It is launching on Kickstarter on August 2.

Personal opinion: Cute game but not exciting enough for me. Like ridding of all the fear, greed, rage and gloom from your life. Boring.

Dungeons of Doria is a 1-6 player cooperative dungeon crawler in which you form a party of heroes and set out to find treasure and glory. You can play individual scenarios or any one of the four campaigns included.

In each round, you spend your action points in order to move, attack, loot, or make repairs. Actions cost time, and you can choose to use fast but weaker items or strong but slow ones. It is also possible to play solo with just one character. It is launching on Kickstarter on August 1.

Personal opinion: This looks like a classic dungeon crawler which is not a bad thing. I might be more intrigued if the artwork was more attractive.

Thanks for the post Athena!

Tiny Robot Love Doctors might be a game I could enjoy, but the theme and the self-help tone act as a clear repellent to me, so I won't really consider it unless the design takes me over in an unexpected way.

I really like what I see of Dungeons of Doria. Three years ago I would have backed it for sure. Right now I feel that I have more dungeon crawlers than I can enjoy (I already said that multiple times). Even then, I have just backed Bag of Dungeon for a portable, light dungeon crawler. On that front, I think I'm sated for life. But I wish them success nonetheless.
