Watch your Back: Week July 2 to 8
Chill summer vibes all over next week's crowdfunding program: just three expansions and a couple of new releases. Grab a refreshing drink and let's see what they are.

Quatro City was mentioned in a previous post, so I'll repeat the description here: this is a 1-99 player jigsaw puzzle deduction game in which you first assemble the puzzle, and then try to solve mysteries by searching for clues on the city map.
The game is app-driven, so when you finish the puzzle, you follow instructions on what to look for to progress the story. It is launching on Kickstarter on July 3.
Personal opinion: The only thing that keeps me away from this game is the size of the surface it needs to be laid out on. And it will need to stay assembled for weeks, since you won't want to put it together piece by piece every time. Otherwise, it seems entertaining.

Another game the launch of which was postoponed is Planet Unknown, and the Supermoon expansion. The base game is a 1-6 player polyomino puzzle game in which you have to fill in planets with tiles to complete scoring goals. The campaign is for the reprint of the Deluxe edition and the launch of the expansion.
As a reminder, the Deluxe edition comes with extra planets and corporations. The Supermoon expansion comes with new tiles, a new planet and corporation, and extends the duration of the game. It is launching on Gamefound on July 5.
Personal opinion: I've had the pleasure of playing Planet Unknown but eventually returned it to the sender. Even though it is enjoyable and extremely replayable, I found the solo mode impossible to win, and that soured me on the experience.

A couple of other games return to Gamefound next week as well: Tales of Evil and Boogeyman. The campaign on July 6 is for the reprint of both, and the launch of expansions.
In Tales of Evil, a group of kids form an investigation club and together they explore places plagued by demons. In Boogeyman, kids are trying to escape the Boogeyman and an evil babysitter.
Personal opinion: Both seem to be lightweight games that you play mostly for the theme. I would happily play them if given the chance, but I'm not going to back.

The 1-6 player action selection game Coloma returns to Gamefound with a reprint and the New Prospects expansion. In the base game, you play as a pioneer who goes to the West to find gold and make a fortune. In the solo mode, you play against an AI called Sam.
In the expansion, you explore further into the land and make use of new buildings. It is launching on July 5.
Personal opinion: Looks good but it's not for me.

And the last game for today is Limits of Glory: Bonaparte's Eastern Empire. This is a 1-2 player wargame in which you either play as the French trying to invade Egypt, or as the Allies trying to stop them.
Gameplay is dice-driven, and split into three phases: invasion, disembark, and conquest. There is no solo mode per se, but it is playable solo due to lack of hidden information. It is launching on Gamefound on July 4.
Personal opinion: I can see how this is easy to play solo but I don't really want to play both sides.
I've already "backed" (actually, pre-ordered, with no possibility to go back) Planet Unknown last Tuesday, and that will be the whole extent of my contribution to this week's celebration of the ever-going KS fair.
But more importantly: thanks for the post! It seems things are getting quiet for the summer, as you point out, which is always nice.
Seems like nothing at all for me here. Even though I might take another look at Planet Unknown, but I'm not likely to go for it.
