Squire for Hire: Mystic Runes is live
Squire for Hire: Mystic Runes is a 1-2 player standalone expansion to the mini tile-laying game, Squire for Hire. It is live on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 16 days.
Like in the Squire for Hire base game, in Mystic Runes you are an assistant to an adventurer. You follow him in his quests and carry the loot he gains. Your task is to arrange the collected items in an efficient way by minimizing junk. This time, your master is searching for magical runes that help you tidy up even more.
At the beginning of the game, you choose one of the four available squires, and take a starting loot card in your 'bag'. Then, on each turn, you have to face a story card: a dungeon, a quest or an encounter. You overcome the story card if you have the required items in your inventory or by discarding items from your pack by covering them up. You receive a reward and place it in your bag according to the placement rules. Junk items will deduct from your score in the end, if you leave them uncovered. Runes give you the ability to manipulate items, e.g. by being transformed into any item you wish.

Rahdo did a good preview for this. It kind of seems like a better version of Orchard. Needless to say, I'm all in on this Kickstarter.
