Zerywia is live (Slavic sagas)
Zerywia has launched on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 21 days. If you back in the first 48 hours, you get one of the expansions for free. If you don't pledge for the deluxe edition that includes the wooden player mats and box, you can just buy the mats as add-ons.
Our preview post below was published on October 27.
Zerywia is a 1-4 player cooperative adventure game set in a fantasy world of Slavic myths. It is scheduled to hit Kickstarter on October 31 (Update: postponed to November).
In Zerywia, you play as a male or female hero who traverses the land trying to fulfill the goal specified by each scenario (e.g. join the two parts of a weapon together, to defeat the evil overlord). On each round, the hero can perform a set of actions: move, explore, or try to remove evil power tokens. The skill stats of each character will define how many dice he or she can roll when resolving tests and fights. There is a big pillar statue with four faces at the centre of the board, called Sventovit. It seems that as the statue turns, there is a different effect on the regions that it oversees but this is just speculation on my part, there isn't enough information available yet. The game can be played as a standalone mission or as a series of missions linked in a campaign.
In the Kickstarter, you will have the option to deluxify the game with wooden player boards and inserts, and even a wooden carved box. Here is the preview.
