Skulls of Sedlec Expansion Collection (and reprint) is live

An expansion collection for Skulls of Sedlec has launched on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 10 days. To play it solo, you will need the base game plus the Monstrance solo expansion (included in some of the pledge levels).

The campaign offers four new expansions: Champions, Zealots and Merchants; plus Crown of Bones that expands the solo mode. Solo promos are available as an add-on.

As this is also a reprint I am now going to republish Athena's preview post below (as published on March 15, 2020). You may reread it at leisure.

The chapel of Sedlec in the Czech Republic is an ornamental wonder. It contains the skeletons of more than 40.000 people, and these remains have been arranged to form impressive decorative patterns. The 1-3 player game, Skulls of Sedlec, has been inspired by the multitude of skulls stored in the chapel.

Skulls of Sedlec is an 18-card game, and in the solo variant, you aim to build structures of two different types. You first create four piles of cards, and flip over the top card of three of the piles. You then select two of the face-up cards to start building your structure. On your turn, you can either flip over two cards from the stacks and immediately play one, or take one of the already revealed cards and play it. Each of the skulls generates points depending on where it is placed.

According to the solo review by A Meeple, Myself, and I, this is a good, very light, portable game that can be played in approximately 10 minutes.

I’m in for the new expansions, as this a fun light and quick solo game.
