Escape Deathrace 2182 Micro is live (Sci-fi car racing)
Update: Escape Deathrace 2182 Micro has launched on Kickstarter and the campaign will run for 29 days. You may back either the standard micro edition or the Deluxe that comes in a box and includes minis. Sadly, there is no information on how the solo mode works on the campaign page so far.
Our preview post below was published on September 13.
Escape Deathrace 2182 Micro is a 1-4 player tile laying and push-your-luck game about racing against evil aliens. It comes in a mint tin, and it will launch on Kickstarter on September 15.
In Escape Deathrace, you are playing as one of six available heroes trying to defeat the leader of the Zillian aliens and his minions. The Zillian have taken your galaxy hostage, and turned the land into a deathrace. Minions have taken position at specific points on the race track in order to block your rallying against their master.
Over the course of the game, you will be placing down race tracks, moving your car onto them, and trying to beat three minions before you can face the final boss. There will be obstacles like fire zones and hazards, but you will be able to use special weapons and power cards. Event cards may help or hinder your progress.
More information is expected when the campaign goes live.
What is going on their pricing structure? $25 plus shipping is already kinda high for a tin game... next level is $70 with a full set of miniatures? Not sure about this one anymore.
But will you back it at that price?
I supposedly swore off little tins and micro games... Now you guys are pulling me back in!
Who needs details when they already told us it comes in a mint tin?
I don't understand why the mint tin gimmick works so well on me. Gotta be some sort of mental defect.
Pfff. Details.
