Kodama Forest is live (Polyomino Forest)
Update: Kodama Forest is live on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 16 days. You may back just Kodama Forest or add Kodama 3D to your pledge, or get the whole Kodama series of games.
When you play solo, you place tiles on a board to your left, and a board to your right, as per standard rules. At the end of the 10th round, you score your boards. Then see if you can beat your score the next time you play.
Our preview post below was published on April 6.
Kodama Forest is a 1-6 player tile-laying game about creating lush forests that will attract the Kodama spirits. It will launch on Kickstarter on April 7.
On each turn, players work 'cooperatively' by placing one tile on the board to their right, and one tile on the board to their left. The aim is to cover as much surface as possible. If a 'dirt' section is left uncovered, it gives a score penalty in the end. The game ends when one board has all the '5' and '10' dirt spots covered. Score is tallied by calculating points from both the boards a player shared, and the lowest score wins. How this works in the solo mode remains to be seen.
