Skyline Express is a 1-4 player set collection game in which you are managing the passengers of an aerial train. It will launch on Kickstarter on February 25.
In Skyline Express, you will be placing passengers in your carriage (player board), trying to score the most points by respecting their sitting preferences. The game takes place over 3 rounds. The main board displays a series of passengers in the main hall and the waiting room, 6 goals that you can try to achieve, and a number of service tiles and preference tiles. On each turn, you will pick a passenger from the top row of the main hall, and may execute two actions.
When you take a passenger, you can place them anywhere in your carriage. Among the passengers there are also 'persona tiles' (shadow passengers). If you pick one of them, you also take one preference tile. Whenever a compartment in your carriage is full, you gain a ticket token and, at any point in the game, you can flip two of your ticket tokens to gain a service tile. Your action tokens can be used to manipulate passengers: exchange them with a passenger in the waiting area or shift their position in the carriage.
When the main hall is empty, you proceed to scoring. If you have fulfilled the requirements of any of the goal tiles, you score the points shown on that tile. You also earn points for any service tiles you have completed. If you also meet the requirements of a persona preference tile, you score that as well.
In the solo mode, you compete against an AI with its own deck of tiles which determine the actions it will take each turn.
50% funded after 3 days....
I've watched a couple of playthroughs and I think this looks great! I'm quite surprised it hasn't received a bit more support!
Thanks, Athena! Now it's workin' for me again. WTF? 🙂 Good ol' Wix, up to its tricks. I haven't seen a number up by the notification 'bell' for several days. Are you seeing them?
Let me try it:
The premise of this game made me think of Overbooked. Hey, now I can't add a picture. What the Hell, over?
