Here Be Dragons: Into the Unknown is a 1-6 player dice rolling and resource management adventure game in which you travel across a land, build settlements and fight monsters. It will launch on Kickstarter on October 20.
Here Be Dragons is a competitive game: each player will try to gather 10 victory points before their opponents to win. Solo rules haven't been revealed yet. On each turn, you will first place down a new tile to expand the map, and then draw an Event card that tells you what you encounter there. Tiles often give resources which you will be able to spend later to build a fort, and eventually upgrade it into a village and a city. Your hero begins equipped with a basic weapon which can be improved by following the accompanying tree diagram.
When a tile allows you to summon a monster (they come in varying levels of difficulty), both you and the monster will roll dice and compare the results. The more powerful your weapon, the more dice you can roll. At some point in the game, the Devourer dragon appears and starts spreading corruption over the land. Defeating him won't be easy but it will save yourself and your settlements from potential damage.
