Merchants of Infinity is live
Merchants of Infinity is a 1-5 player auction and resource management game in which you are trying to become the most successful space merchant. It is live on Kickstarter and the campaign will run for 23 days. You may pledge for a copy of the game or choose to be included in it as a shop owner or a criminal.
In the solo mode of Merchants of Infinity, you are playing against an automated opponent. The game is divided in 3 phases: Cogs, Trading, and Scoring. The Cogs phase determines the initiative for the round. The AI always has the upper hand, so you will need to buy extra Cog cards if you wish to beat it.
In the Trading phase, you will send your meeples to the spaces of goods you want to trade in: Food, Jewels, Clothes, Tech, etc. The AI will place its 6 trader meeples according to specific if/then instructions (e.g. if there is a 35/30/25 point order available, then the AI will take it), and also roll a die to determine the goods it will prefer. Points are then scored for shipped orders and bonuses acquired in the Trading phase, and if you have made the most profit, you win.
