Glorious day for Aliens pre-order
Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps! is a 1-6 player cooperative survival game based on the Aliens movies IP. Gale Force Nine has opened the pre-orders on their website with an estimated delivery in October. If you order the base game and two expansions as a bundle, you get terrain minis for free, as well as free worldwide shipping.
The problem in this case is that customers have to blindly trust the company and hope the game will be great, if they choose to place their pre-order now. The rulebook will be revealed closer to the official release date, and presumably gameplay videos too. Still, for fans of the IP who want to not just play hide-and-seek with the aliens (as happens with Nemesis), but have fun shooting some xenomorphs, this may be an ideal deal.
In the Aliens base game, a team of Colonial Marines is sent to the Hadley's Hope terraforming colony to investigate why contact with it has been broken. In the Ultimate Badasses expansion, reinforcements arrive to help out the original team. And in the Get Away From Her, You Bitch! expansion, Newt and some Marines have been abducted by the aliens and have to be retrieved. The Get Away... expansion adds more missions to the base game campaign, plus missions that feature the Alien Queen.
I don't have 150$ to spend right now, but if I did, I would take the risk too!
This is sooo tempting to me. After the great job they did with Firefly, I have little doubt this will be a solid game.
