Air Leader Expansions is live (Fly me to your Leaders)
DVG Air Leader Expansions is live on Kickstarter, and the campaign will run for 21 days. Not only does it bring new expansions for Hornet Leader, Phantom Leader and Israeli Air Force Leader, but one for B-17 Flying Fortress Leader has been added as well. Pledge levels are simply for one or more of these packs, and any base game can be added later in the Pledge Manager.
Our preview post below was published on June 19.
Air Leader is a series of single player games by Dan Verssen Games in which you have your squadron of pilots flying missions, some historical, some hypothetical. Your pilots will gain experience and improve their skills, but also get fatigued over time, which will impact your choices for later missions. Three of those games, Hornet Leader, Phantom Leader and Israeli Air Force Leader, will be getting new expansions. These add new campaigns, aircrafts, skills, events and alternate target cards. The campaign will launch on Kickstarter on June 23.
Hornet Leader Expansion will include four new campaigns, three new aircraft types, four new events and 23 new skills.
Phantom Leader Expansion will include four new campaigns, four new aircraft types and 23 new skills.
IAF Leader Expansion will include four new campaigns, one new aircraft type, and four new events and 12 new skills.
All three expansions will include alternate cards for every target in the core game, to make the missions more varied. These alternate cards represent attacking the target under different circumstances and will have other keywords and other numbers of sites and bandits on them.
The base games will be available as add-ons. Here's a quick sample of how these Air Leader games play.
And DVG has more in store. Next up after this, there will be campaigns for:
- Zero Leader (WW2, Japan)
- Warfighter Fantasy
- Fokker Leader (WW1)
Then there's been talk of Abrams Leader, Sopwith Camel Leader and Spruance Leader as well. But first, next Tuesday, expanding some existing ones. You can check out the preview page on Kickstarter.
Sopwith Camel Leader will be Biggles in a box. I'm in.
Yes! I guess most people will be excited that Warfighter Fantasy is finally happening, but I'm looking forward to the WW1 titles the most as well.
WW1? Bring it on, DVG!
