Oil Town is live (Drilling Dice)

Update: Oil Town has launched on Kickstarter and the campaign will run for 29 days. You may pledge for a copy of the game and choose to have your name on one of the cards.

Our preview post below was published on February 25.

Oil Town is a 1-4 player dice placement game in which you are drilling for oil in the 19th century American West. It will launch on Kickstarter on March 2.

In Oil Town, you will be drawing and laying down connectable cards that depict oil rigs. These are connected to an underground network from which oil is extracted. You will roll your dice and place them on the network, trying to form chains with the results so that you can dig further. Any unused dice can be spent to recruit helpers that will grant you dice bonuses. At the end of the game, depending on the amount of oil each player collected, there will be a narrative ending that ties the story together.

In the solo mode, you are playing against a card-driven AI. This is all the information we have for now.

😄 I'm sure they set it in the 19th century to escape this fate.

Joe Biden will use an executive order to not allow this game to come to market.
