In Donning the Purple (solo mode) you are the emperor of the Roman Empire in turbulent times. You've got to feed the population and keep them happy, while enemies invade and other families are out to bring you down. The game gets a much needed reprint and an expansion which adds a new phase to the game and a lot of new cards.
The Kickstarter campaign will run for 24 days. Here's an example of how the base game plays:
