Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising is live (Defend the Kingdom from the Elements)
Update: Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising is live on Gamefound and the campaign will run for 23 days. You may pledge for the Deluxe Edition that includes the game, deluxe components and the More than Shadows expansion, or for the retail edition that doesn't have the upgraded components. Previous Kingdom Rush content is available as add-on.
Our preview post below was published on February 5.
Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising is a 1-4 player cooperative tower defense game in which a team of heroes is fighting against elemental monsters. This is a standalone expansion to Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time, and it will launch on Gamefound on February 9.
Elemental Uprising plays largely the same as Rift in Time, but also brings new elements to the table:
5 new heroes with asymmetric abilities.
2 new bosses (Leviathan and Elemenace)
Environmental elements such as Magic Blossoms and Magma Elementals
The Shields monster ability
Reusable stickers for tower upgrades and new tower abilities
Gameplay is campaign-based and heroes from both Rift in Time and Elemental Uprising are cross-compatible. The base game will also be available to order during the Gamefound campaign. You may check the Preview page.
Yes, I received mine in late December. It's still in shrink. I won't play it before the summer, most likely. Too many games I would like to play before that. So, pledging about the same amount of money for the same insane amount of stuff seems unwarranted right now. I'm not even sure I'll have the opportunity to play everything I already have received before getting tired of it.
Looks nice - too bad about the stickers.
:D
From what I gathered, most people haven't had sufficient time to play the base game, this expansion has come too soon. So you can pick it up later from the shops if you want it.
I hate stickers too, and I'm not familiar with the reusable kind. Are they eternally reusable? Who knows.
Thankfully! Stickers! Now I have a truly good excuse not to back it!
Seriously, I hate stickers. I have never been able to stick them properly. I think they are aesthetically flawed. Even though they are reusable, I'm better without.
Thanks for these good news!
