Cracked Earth: Pangea in Pieces is live

Cracked Earth: Pangea in Pieces is a 1-5 player tile laying game about the survival of the fittest dinosaur species. It is live on Kickstarter and the campaign will run for 24 days. There is a single pledge tier that gets you a copy of the game.

In the solo mode of Cracked Earth, you are trying to ensure that your dinosaur species will survive asteroid strikes and cataclysms until the game's end. On each turn, you must place a tectonic plate tile from the available period (Early Triassic first), and choose to take one or more actions: Shift a tectonic plate, Migrate dinosaurs, or Grow your herd. There are rules to follow on how to correctly shift a tectonic plate tile so that it forms continents. Migrating dinosaurs means you can move them from continent to continent (they can also cross oceans), and Growing the herd means that if you have at least 2 dinos on the same landmass, you can add a third one. Some Tectonic plates feature dinosaur icons that enforce limitations on your actions.

If you draw an asteroid tile, you must check the survival condition of the Cataclysm card of the current period. If you have at least 2 dinosaurs remaining after you perform the Cataclysm event, you continue with the next round. Otherwise, you lose. Cataclysm cards stack their consequences: when you draw a new one, you must survive the previous one(s) too.
