Steeped Games expands their tea-themed line with the 1-2 player dice placement game, Chai: Tea for 2. It will launch on Kickstarter on March 17, and you can expect an abundance of tea-based puns from the designers, if you follow oolong.

The first thing you do in the game, is roll a die together with your opponent (one each), add the results, and place a marker on the corresponding number of the resource wheel. You take the resources it shows, and then decide if you want to use this number as movement points, or as individual teas you can harvest. The teas you harvest start at the bottom of your plantation chart. Then, you roll all six dice, place them onto the available action spaces according to the results, and perform the designated actions. You can sign contracts with ships or buy cards that give you benefits from the market. The merchant with the most points in the end, wins. Solo rules have not been revealed yet.

The Kickstarter campaign will also offer the Sea and Spice expansion, as well as the deluxe edition of the company's previous game, Chai.
