Awesome Autumn Solocon

It's a school holiday over here in The Netherlands, so we went on our annual trip to a cabin in the woods. The weather seems bad enough for staying indoors most of the time - but no worries, I brought a lot of games to have an awesome solocon.

They're not all mine and I only played half of those that are, so I'm really looking forward to the week! I've brought:

See any you are interested in? I probably won't be able to play them all, but for the ones I do I could post some first impressions.

Plus, of course, we brought some family games and somehow they all can be soloed as well:

It's always nice to have options.

Great. Now let it rain.

The nostalgia factor for G. I. Joe is strong! I've been curious for a while whether it (and the Transformers version) is any good.

Nice bundle to bring along @JW . Evenfall, Cascadia and GI Joe deck building are the ones that catch my eye! 😀

I'll aim for Evenfall. GI Joe is good fun, but hard to win because of randomness in the card market and dice rolls. Still, one of my favourite games at the moment. I think Zerbique is better equipped to cover Cascadia - but I'll be sure to give you my impressions if it gets to the table.

Definetly interested in hearing how Gate and Crystallo plays.

I'll add Gate/Gates to the shortlist 👍🏻

I had backed Crystallo. This was the time where I was backing blindly and without much care. When I received it, I read the rules, thought it would be tiresome, sold it.

I'd be very curious to know which of the two Zerbiques were correct: the naive, optimistic ones of the early days, or the broke and bitter one the naive one turned into when he started receiving far too many games until all possible enjoyment out of them was entirely crushed under their relentless swarming.

(Fortunately, I am a different gamer now.)

Curiously enough, I've backed Crystallo at PnP level just cause I liked how it played (but I don't do PnP, so it was more like blind support). But I got a PM invitation and I could actually get just the pocket version, so I went for that. You know me and my habit about pocket games.

I was also eyeing Grove, but the gameplay doesn't interest me that much there and I have Naturopolis.
