A pathogen is haunting Europe

The year is 1962, and you are medical students working for the CIA. The Soviets have developed a bioweapon called project MEDUSA, and you must try to stop them from spreading this virus to the West. Z-Man Games just opened the pre-orders for the last game in the Pandemic Legacy series: Pandemic Legacy: Season 0. They don't give a specific delivery date, but if you want to secure a copy, you may place an order on their website.

Pandemic Legacy: Season 0 is a 2-4 player cooperative game in which the decisions you make and the actions you take in each chapter affect the subsequent ones. This Season is set in the Cold War, and you must travel around the world to locate secret Soviet agents and thwart their plans. The game is divided in 12 months, with each of them having its own objectives. At the end of each month, you are given an evaluation based on how many objectives you achieved. This will determine if you can proceed to the next month, and how much funding you'll get.

Each city on the map has its own Threat card. When you draw that card, you place a Soviet agent there. Over the course of the game, you will be trying to limit the agents' actions, and also collect sets of City cards with matching affiliations (Allied, neutral or Soviet). These cards form teams of undercover CIA operatives that you will employ to take out Soviet agents and carry out your missions. You must try to avoid places with heavy surveillance or else you risk losing your cover.

Season 0 comes with a replayable Prologue scenario, and players are not required to have played Seasons 1 and 2 before getting into this Pandemic Legacy prequel.

I have to admit that this sounds cool. I'm not sure that I'll get it, but I am intrigued.
