Played it a couple of times, but due to "exponential" comboing it's quite hard to keep track of all the scores for Command, Battle and Knowledge simultaneously, i.e. quite some recounting/checking all the time..but we had definitely some fun, but apparently not enough to bring it to the table more often...
During my research of the game I came across a Review of Volfyirion Guilds by Alex (can't think of his last name, but he talks fast and wears a Kippah). He mentioned the original Volfyirion, and how keeping track of all that was somewhat annoying (I'm para-phrasing), etc.
Anyway, in one of the Comments, someone said they used D20's to keep track of all that. Just rotate the appropriate die (aka counters, in this case) up or down as you acquire or spend. Brilliant! I doubt I woulda thought of that.
@Cadet Stimpy His last name is "from Board Games Co".
Sometimes I watch his videos, because they're fast. He's been an influential advertiser lately, but he manages to still provide some sincere content at times. I think I like what he's doing.
FWIW: There are 328 people in the U.S. named "Abcde", according to the Social Security Administration database. Are you f**kin' kiddin' me? Who in the f**k would name their child that? How would you even pronounce it? Guess I'm just an old-fashioned, semi-fossil havin' difficulty with some of the modern cultural changes. 🙁
I had ordered this twice on the first KS, and sold both after reading the rules. I didn't quite like the solo mode, but I can't remember why.
Anyway, I'm not too fond of deck-building, and of "card games" à la Magic with plenty of text on the cards and convoluted effects. I am always convinced of the contrary, but when it comes to pick up a game and have fun with it, these always fail.

Let me know what you think. I pre-ordered Guilds but never played the original.
