Relax before the kill

Actually, my first "contact" with Terminator was that I had found the VHS of the second movie in a garage sale, but my parents wouldn't let me watch it because it was age 12+. So, the very day I got 12, I watched Terminator for the first time. And it was great.

Don't worry, I have seen all Terminator movies but the very last one (because it got released at the wrong time for me). I wish I could see it!

I enjoyed them all, except Genisys. I don't know why they have tried to "erase" Renaissance while this movie brought interesting new aspects to the saga.

I hate when a saga of movies try to ignore/delete/trample on previous entries because they didn't reach success, instead of improving on them by re-using some of their components so they retrospectively appear in a new, more interesting light, and to enrich the future narratives rather than trying to 'fix' something by claiming it never happened. Yes, I think about how Star Wars VII ignored the Prequel Trilogy, and how Star Wars IX just spat out in the face of Star Wars VIII, making the whole Sequel Trilogy a disjointed and despicable mess). A counter-example would be the Alien saga: Alien 3 didn't meet a lot of approval (although I really like it), but Alien 4 did not try to negate what it did, it built on it instead.

I haven't seen the movie, no. I guess I'll have to, now. Both were last copies, somewhere local here. But I'll keep an eye out for you. I'd like to write some session reports for the website again, yes, but I can't promise at the moment. Maybe some short notes in the Lounge.
