Tradeworlds has been delivered. I backed this in 2017, and it should have been released in the summer of 2018.
And yes, the planning had been optimistic, but a terrible thing happened: the creator died. And a long journey started, with his father and the designer working through one setback after the other to get this game made. So I'm not mad for the wait, but grateful for all their work.
And I am still really looking forward to play it. Fortunately my love for space and deckbuilders has not been diminished. Also, my daughter is in it. I was given the "commander" role and somehow I must have had a hunch six years ago that it would be time for a new generation.
You're a tricky one, JW, to call a post "Perseverance" the week a game of the same name enters crowdfunding!
I'm glad the game finally got released. It's a powerful story, and I hope the game will be truly enjoyable.
But what I am the most happy for is to hear your daughter has become a faithful gaming companion. I already play a board game roughly once a day with my son, but I wouldn't say no to diving into more complex games when the day will come (in due time). It must be a great and joyful experience for the both of you.
