Forgive me. This is not quite my "last purchase", nor is it my own find. This game instead actually was thanks to "Mrs Bargain Ninja" (and actually quite a while ago). I had completely forgot about it!!!
As we pack the house (unwillingly) and reno our business to prepare to work again (whatever that is), Shawna had piled up a bunch of little games we purchased or had extras of (chess, cribbage etc) with the intent of having them available for visitors to play at our cafe. Then COVID hit. Naturally, we were not able to run with that idea, just yet.
In that pile of games was a game called, Brewmaster: The Craft Beer Game from 2001. She found it at a local thrift shop last year, still brand new in the shrink wrap!! I had to bring it home last night to take a quick peak at what this was all about (although, the game hooked me at "craft beer game"). 🤣
It's very simplistic and old school... But did I mention you make beer?? The cards are actually very nice and quite well done. The board is a little plastic foldout, but it works.
And yes, Jasper (right) is curious as to what the game is all about as well. 🙂
After a quick glance at the instructions, it's a very light game (as seen on the BGG complexity rating as well). Unfortunately, no solo mode. For that matter, not a whole lot of much in the forums. But it does have a BGG page so that's cool.
Once I delve into it more, maybe there's a way to create a solo mode? Hmmm.... 🤔
The power of craft beer will be needed for this endeavour. 🍺
Hehe, always nice to unbox a new game, no matter what it is. This one may even have potential for a rival AI. Hopefully a few glasses will inspire you. 🍺😊
