Long Shot

Yup, this is a fun game, IMHO. A lot of luck involved (well, it's does have dice), but aside from "educated guesses" in betting on real horses, horse racing is very luck-based. This game invokes the ups 'n downs of gambling on horses. One moment your horse is out front and closing-in on the Finish Line, so you're thrilled. It's lookin good, so you up your bet on it, but then you're suddenly overtaken by your rival! Damn-it! Wait, they're falling back so you're in the lead again! You've applied the concession of being able to bet on that horse after it passes the No-Bet Line, so you up your bet again. Oh, shit, one of Roland's other horses is bustin' outta the pack from behind and gaining on you fast. I knew I shouldn't have brought my rent money to the track.
