Since jumping into the hobby a couple years ago, I always have opted for the "cheaper" organizer solutions; either sticking with the ziplock bags that come with games for components OR purchasing a plano box to organize things if the box size allows. However, certain games have SO MANY components that I feel by not having a proper organizer it only adds to your setup time (especially as a solo player).
So I've finally done it... I have two organizers on the way!
What sparked it was, I was browsing my FLGS site and saw an E-Raptor insert (regular $37 CDN) on for $9.95 CDN for A Game of Thrones: The Board Game. When I bought the game locally from Facebook Marketplace for $10 CDN, it came with a big plano box organizer for the many components. However it's so big it doesn't fit into the box! Having a proper organizer will be nice and save shelf space for sure!
Because the FLGS uses the flat shipping fee of $11 CDN from Canada Post, I thought it'd be more worth it to purchase something else (why not? 😉). Once again, I went with an organizer. This one is a Folded Space organizer for Brass Birmingham. I'm anxious to see the difference in styles to see what I like, but I'm also anxious to have these two games more well organized in their boxes. 😀
In the meantime, I was tired of digging through my Marvel Champions cards when I play, so for now I've quickly made my own using the insert that came with the game, until I get a proper organizer. 😎
There are some really nice dividers on BGG to pimp your games. I'm lucky to live near a university city, so I have access to fairly cheap copy shops.
Well done, Derek! I like it when things are organized. 🤗
