After literally months of waiting (I had pre-ordered the game back in June, then canceled in August as it was taking too long, and I finally waited for the French version), I have finally received The Guild of Merchant Explorers.
My first thoughts are:
1) That box is way, way too big for what's in there.
2) Since the box is so big, did the components need to be so tiny?
Indeed, little did I expect that I would find myself playing an actual dexterity game. Survive for four ages and you may get a score, otherwise, your game is gone into oblivion!
Later in the game, you must remove all cubes several times, but neither villages, towers, or tokens. The challenge ramps up!
Also, the coins with the number written on only one side are super extra annoying.
An actual review will come out of it eventually.
