May 14 was International-Play-What-You-Want-Day. Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want! Get in my landship and blow up some mechs.
I think Pocket Landship: Free Trial Version was the first game I ever played 100 times. When I got this Kickstarter version, I started logging those plays separately. It got stuck at 22. Time to get the number of plays above 25 at least.
It's been a year since I went through the campaign that's printed in the rulebook. It's a nice way to see all the cards and actions. It's a year ago that I've played this game period. Somehow getting an expanded version made it harder to get it to the table. So many possibilities. Anyway. I've missed playing it.
Bring it on.
There are six scenarios, and you score less points every extra play it takes to beat one of them. The 5th scenario kind of did me in. Luckily you always get 1 point for a scenario, even if it takes you all afternoon. I ended up with 16 points out of 21, which was good enough for a celebratory cup of coffee.
All clear!
And I guess the "Seater" commander must be Rob Seater (BGG alias rseater), one of my GeekBuddies (great comments that has influenced a lot of my purchases).
Oh, you went with a Commander pledge! I didn't know that!!!
I own the game as well, and I think it's entertaining, but somehow I am not particularly drawn to it. Maybe there's something I don't get.
Yes, an add-on. Custom made for the game, as some backers wanted to sleeve their cards, and they'd gone for minimal packaging. Did you spot my "driver" card?
I like this game a lot, too, but I haven't played it near as much as you. That's a bad-ass 'box' you have for it. Where'd you get it? A Kickstarter Exclusive?
Now I regret not purchasing the playmat. 😄
