Space opera

Astroforce feels like a great reworked and expanded version of Deep Space D6. The missions, developments and events in this game provide way more immersion. There are also more ways to use your dice. And it takes an hour to lose instead of 10 minutes. 👍

Deep Space D-6 on steroids, huh? "...an hour to lose instead of 10 minutes." 😄 For me to receive this game it'd cost about $90 (€76/C$113/£65). Is that picture pretty much everything you get, 'cause $90 seems a bit steep? 'Course, shipping is up there at about $28 (€23/C$35/£20). Looks interesting, though.

Yes, it is expensive. There are four ship boards (different layouts), three challenges and six difficulty levels. It's quite possible the "retail version" is the Kickstarter version and has the Away Teams expansion included. If so, you get a side board, an extra deck of cards and rules for a variant. All in all this game gives you a lot if replayability. If the expansion is included, it's still expensive, but I'm glad I backed it on KS.
