I am really enjoying winding down after a work day with a game or two and a tea before bed. Last night, I pulled out 7-Wonders. I've played several games on BGA with 7-Wonders. It's so fast. But it's always better playing the physical version of games, and just relaxing, taking your time, feeling the cards, coins etc...
I came across this solo variant on BGG earlier this year just after getting my copy of 7-Wonders from GeekMarket, and I really enjoy it. As the post says, it's "Simple-7 Solitaire". For
me, I find it a challenge; You think you're doing just fine. Most of the time it seems like one of the opponent's is coming out better than the other, but by no means do I think I'm that bad off in my game. Then comes the end of the game, and that's where you get "smacked in the face" by the opponents. In this variant, you combine the two "Dummy" opponents scores and that's what you have to beat. It never turns out well for me. LOL
But it's such a simple, relaxing and fun solo variant. My daughter and I have also enjoyed a 2-player variant that's more enjoyable than the one that comes with the game as well (in my opinion). We enjoy using the suggestion that @Raithyn posts in this forum thread on BGG when playing 2-players (scroll down a bit - it's the post with the diagram).
Nothing like building up an entire civilization before you go to bed, after a long day. :)

In any case, thank you very much and please don't worry. We all go through hardships from time to time. I'll just cope and move on.
I've never played 7 Wonders but appreciate all the info you are giving us on it. Unwinding with tea and a game sounds like pure bliss. 🙂
(I, on the other hand, am currently going through a bad period in my life with unpleasant stuff happening. My mood has been affected and I don't feel like playing anything. I hope I'll get over this soon...)
