Relics of Rajavihara

Yes, all these action platformers had crate-pushing related puzzles (Tomb Raider being the first example that comes to mind, but the Soul Reaver series as well), to the point that most video players became utterly fed up with these.

Which is why I was in complete dismay when I saw Rajavihara. You really want to make a physical implementation of these puzzles every one was sick of?

But apparently it's fun, I've heard all but positive things about it. Still, I have done my share of these puzzles for life, so I'll skip (even though solo puzzles are usually my jam).

@Zerbique : exactly my point of view...and with (only) 50 levels there will be a secondary market for sure...time to move on 😋

@Zerbique Well, in part it's to add to my Solo Only games, plus it has a nice small footprint, although the box isn't that small (~11.6" x 11" x 2.38" / ~29.5cm x 28cm x 6cm). I actually suck at puzzley things, but I believe it might be good to exercise that sector of my brain. 🙂 Currently, I'm already stuck near the end of the 1st Level - that can't be good. 😄

I still have a lot of Levels to go on this one, but if I can make good progress and show signs of getting through it without becoming stone-walled on every successive level, I probably will. 🙂

I don't feel confident either, but they haven't been too bad so far, but I have a long way to go. 😀 Nice small footprint, as the board is only ~9.63in x ~6.44in (~24cm x ~16.4cm)!

It reminds me a little bit of the ol' NES game, LOLO, where you pushed stuff around (only in 2 dimensions, of course).

Probably kinda worthless now, except for maybe the original "Russian" Tetris (the original game was developed by game designer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984 while living in Moscow).

Some of my other NES games. I should just get rid of 'em, since I don't play 'em any more. A lot of 'em are fun, but by today's standards, the resolution sucks, especially since my TV's a good bit larger than the one I had in the 80's. 😀 Shit, I'm such a hoarder!

Just for fun, I did some inflation calculations, and back then, the average NES game was ~$40 (€34/C$51/£29). $40 in 1985 would be about $100 (€85/C$127/£72) today. Okay, so today, with 45 games (I have some more in a closet) x $100 = $4500 (€3810/C$5709/£3254)! FUCK! I've sure wasted a lot of money over the years, and still am, evidenced by all the games I own that I haven't played, yet! 😄

@Cadet Stimpy Awesome collection. I wouldn't get rid of it. I still kick myself all these years later for getting rid of my NES and SNES collections which each had over 50 games. They're still 2/3 of my favourite consoles. PS2 being the other (which I have over 50 games for sure) but thankfully it's safely still with me. 😁
