I like this game. It's quite quick, easy to learn, and the footprint is relatively small (the 'box' is the size of a VCR tape box, made of similar plastic, and it opens the same way, too). Below, I'm ready to start a new game. In the pictured mode ('regular', not Adventure Mode), the Boss cards wouldn't be used, but they wanted to partake in this Photo Op. 🙂 The cards are spread-out in a different way in the Adventure Mode, so the footprint is much larger. The Rulebook doesn't say which value on the Quests cards (vertical cards in the bottom row) is Failure and which is Success, but it's easy enough to figure-out. Sadly, the cards don't fit in the box if they're sleeved. Three cards will just fit side-by-side, but with the couple of extra mm the sleeves add to the width of each card, they won't fit after being sleeved. 🙁 Luck is used to reroll dice and Money to temporarily add more dice to a roll and/or buy Items from the Shop. The quirky art is growin' on me. The Companion and Environment cards, which can be used or not, are generally helpful, but not always. QoC is a SGOTM. Here's the BGG Link.

I've played this game several times now and will probably shelve it for a good while. I like it, but one's success or failure is largely dependent on luck. In one game, I was using the character shown above (there are 4 to choose from) who starts with 2 Health. The short version of my first turn was I drew a Companion that took 2 Health from me. On Turn 1 I was already dead! WTF?! 😄
