After forty plays I got a bit frustrated with Shadowrun Crossfire. Okay, I had made the game too hard for myself in the beginning, but even when playing with the correct rules, you lose a lot. It was affecting my mood. So I put it away. Hadn't played it in a year.
Until recently, because I was told:
1. stop playing the suggested first scenario. It sucks.
2. it's better to play four-handed instead of two.
So. I grew a pair (of extra hands) and started over.
At first my brain protested, but then I got used to it. This time I started with the scenario "The Client", and within 10 plays my new characters had levelled up as much as my original ones in forty...
Better. Much better. I'm addicted again.
Been on my "wishlist" for a while, hopefully one day......
I must really try out Dragonfire myself. I have given myself until the end of the year or I'll sell it.
