Then we got to May 8, Mother Ocean Day.
One of the challenges for me this month is to win a game of Underwater Cities. Up until now I've won three out of 19 plays, but the scores are all over the place. From 67 to 105, averaging out at 88 or so. Once I scored 99 points (you need 100). 😖 Twice I built only 6 out of 7 cities. I don't think I've got a good strategy yet. It's not easy! But very enjoyable.
My first try today was a failure. But I did realize something. You don't have to connect the end-game-scoring metropole. I thought that was mandatory. Twenty plays in, and I think I know all the rules now. 😄
I saw in a post on SGOYT, that you can play this game on Yucata. I made an account to see how this website works. I really, really hope they've got all the rules implemented right, because there it was: my win in May! 🎆 That is, if it counts... I don't know. Is a board game still a board game when it's virtual? Hm. It's all in the mind anyway. I'll allow it.
Yay!
And I may even reach my 25th play this month! (I bought it two weeks ago 😮)
So. While playing, there was this tune in my head, but I didn't know what song it was. Too long ago. It had to be connected to the game. There should be an association. Then while typing in this report, I remembered:
Phew. That could have been nagging me all week.
Now, for my daily performance, I have to take out this mouthpiece. Just a sec.
Glub glub glub glub glub glub, glub glub glub
Glub glub glub glub glub glub, glub glub glub
Glub glub glub, glub glub
Glub glub glub, glub glub
Glub glub glub glub glub glub, glub glub glub!
😜
I have got to try this out on Yucata as well. You and Athena have me convinced to give this one a shot for sure!
