Today I played Black Orchestra, my last session was five years ago. It's easy to pick up again as most rules are printed on the board and your character sheet. The cooperative game takes place in WW2 Germany. For solo you pick two historical figures that were part of the Resistance, then attempt a plot to assassinate Hitler.
The game has its nailbiting moments. The circumstances have to be just right for your attempt to be successful, the chances are low to begin with and you always are at risk of being arrested. The historical events make sure you are right in the middle of these dark times. Not a game for everyone, I think.
This time both Sophie Scholl and Wessel Freytag Von Loringhoven (characters from expansion packs) tried a few times, failing every time. Near the end of the war they were both captured during a Gestapo raid and put in prison. So Iost...
