Well, I recently put Long Shot: The Dice Game back on the shelf and tabled By Stealth and Sea. (That reminds me, I gotta go back and comment at least a little bit more on that game).
This is my first attempt at a "real" WWII Wargame. Definitely my first attempt at, what I'd consider, a more difficult (for me, anyway) war-type game. It's kinda scary. 😬 It's about an Italian Commando Frogman Unit that pilots manned torpedoes in attacks against the Royal Navy and its allies. The campaign system of the game features all nine key historic manned torpedo attacks by the Decima Flottiglia MAS against the Royal Navy. Until now, I hadn't really grasped how closely these games follow actual events/battles in history. Pretty interesting.
Oh, wow, I have to find 11 specific ships in this pile?
Here's a Fault Card (front and back). Apparently, these SLC's weren't particularly reliable. SLC is an acronym for siluri a lenta corsa (slow-running or "manned torpedoes").
Ready to start Mission 1. It's late though (~2:40am), so I won't start the battle until later.

I wanna hear more about this one! War games like this intrigue me but I'm still torn if I'd actually enjoy having some in my collection
