Can't believe you have snow. We have none here in the Great White North and we're looking like we'll be in for a green Christmas this year. ๐ฅ Which is the COMPLETE opposite of last year's snowed in Christmas!!
It is a decent game, Derek. Good on storage space consumption, as you can see by the box size. Compared to the heavier games you play, the set-up and breakdown times are negligible. The footprint is easily manageable, too. If I had everything memorized, I wouldn't need the 4 cards on the far right or the 2 on the far left. If I played it a lot, I think even I could eliminate those 6 reference cards. ๐ Z might even be able to squeeze it on the train. It's not easy to beat, though. The King's Request cards add another layer of difficulty (you can add more or less of them to adjust the difficulty level). Here's an example of a King's Request card. Normally, you roll the 4 white dice and allocate them to the 4 cards with the red border to select various actions you can perform that turn. In one King's Request, you also roll a blue die with the 4 white ones. If the blue die is a 1, you can't use any white dice that are 1's, and the same for 2's and 3's. But, for each King's Request card you start the game with, you get 2 gold coins (up to 12) to start with. You can earn/obtain assistance from local Villagers, too. They'll give you items that'll assist you (such as a Druid Potion that'll resurrect one of your dead Berserkers). Anyway, I give the game a solid thumbs-up. Much to my amazement, within the hundreds of Emojis I could add here, I couldn't find a "Thumbs-Up" Emoji. ๐
You haven't had any snow yet? That surprises me. I thought all of Canada was buried from November to May. ๐ We're gonna break 50ยบF (10ยบC) today and easily surpass 60ยบF (~15.6ยบC) tomorrow - with lots of sun. ๐
Oh! That game looks interesting!
