Actually, a lot of games don't cross the Atlantic Ocean. This is why getting them on KS is so often crucial for us Europeans. Since most games are from the US, you are rarely exposed to the reverse situation!
I'm guessing securing a partnership with Pandasaurus must have been an incredible opportunity for them!
A small note: many people always defend Leder Games on the grounds that they are a very small publisher with only 12 employees (and therefore less games published than employees, hem). But Catch Up Games are only two people and they still produce games that are very much affordable!
Apparently the reviews for this one are very enthusiastic. People say that it's a simple game that works very well and has a 7 Wonders/Res Arcana flavor (but lighter of course), and that the solo mode is good as well. The main grip people have is that it's a bit multiplayer solitaire, but that doesn't affect solo. Be aware though that in the solo mode, you have to make some choices for the AI, which is a feature I personally don't enjoy.
I personally tend to avoid French games because I am not fond of the French school of design, and I don't like combo games anyway so this one is clearly not for me though.
The original publisher is French.
