Well, in this particular case, the digital game has lots of advantage... It sets up instantly and the pace of the game is really fast -about 15 minutes of play. My friend told me that the physical game takes much longer because counting for VP at the end of each turn and distributing the corresponding tokens takes time.
Also, there are plenty of expansions, and I have them all for almost nothing on the digital version, while hunting for their physical counterparts would be effortful and would cost rather too much money for a few tokens.
But, sure, it doesn't have the charm of an actual board, etc. Only I'm not too fond of the cartoony Fantasy art, so I'm okay with playing it on a tiny laptop screen.
Z, please don't abandon the analog world of Gamin'! Just Kiddin! However, I must admit, the 'digital shuffling' of cards is super-easy and dexterity-free, and therefore wonderful. 😉
It's a nice one but so far I have been more than content with the Steam app. A friend gifted me a physical copy of this game for my birthday a while ago, but I've never opened it since I'm always playing the app when I want to play it.
(I also have never read the rules, which is an oddity for me: usually I read the rules and don't play the game, here it's the exact opposite.)
Now I definitely want this game
