I was trying to ascertain the 'status' of this game on Kickstarter, but you can't look at the latest Update unless you're a Backer. WTF? I've never seen that before. What are they hiding? 🤔

You could pledge $1 to follow the Kickstarter then either add money or back out towards the end. That way you get updates.
