By the way, would you be interested in Steam Power, teased at the end of the video?
I have zero interest in trains, but in a few years my trains-obsessed son might enjoy more complex board games and this could be cool to play with him.
Well, we first need to figure out how to run a proper game of My First Ticket to Ride... and then the full version. The Junior version is for age 6+ so, I just let him play with the components so far and I don't bother too much with the rules as long as he has fun (I'm more strict with games his age, I value too much following rules in games). He wanted the game badly and I can't refuse to get him a board game when I purchase so many for myself.
I don't think I'll be interested in Steam Power, but we'll see. Like you, I'm not interested in trains that much. But I'll play a good game any day 🙂 I enjoy playing Freie Fahrt (though more so multiplayer than solo).
That's a valid concern. Except... you don't have to play the "better" solo mode. It's probably four pages of complicated if/then procedures masking how you should play another faction to the best of your abilities anyway.

I watched the video as well!
I'm still wondering about Bloodstones. I kind of like the scenario-based solo mode.
