Out of the games that launched on Kickstarter today, there's a few I chose not to write about. Having spent more than 6 hours working on our website, I decided to draw the line and leave some projects out. I apologize to our readers, and will mention the games here in brief, so that they don't go completely unnoticed.
1.Thunderstone Quest: Darkness Rising and Thunderstone Quest: Miricelle's Return. Two expansions for Thunderstone Quest. Are they soloable? I have no idea. You can play TQ solo if your have the Barricades mode expansion, but I can't tell from the campaign page if the new stuff is compatible with that. Link to the campaign.
2. 30 Seconds to Live. This is a 2 player game (survivor vs. zombie) with a solo variant. The solo rules seem extremely complicated, at least at first glance. There is a flow chart to follow for zombie actions, and another chart that you roll your die on and consult. Check out the rules, if you're interested. Link to the campaign.
3. Plunderous. This steampunk pirate game is not solo out of the box but has a solo/co-op expansion. There is no info on the solo mode on the campaign page, but here is the link if you wish to see for yourself.
4. Desolated. A sci-fi engine builder. No mention of how the solo mode works. Link to the campaign.
I see that they uploaded the rulebook but it's unfinished. Fancy terms like 'Racloir', 'Arkhein' and 'Insula' turn me off anyway. The pretty artwork has attracted lots of backers though.
