This was supposed to come out this year but Covid delayed it. No signs of One Deck Galaxy either (Covid wasn't to blame for that). We'll see.

A long time ago I printed one of these fiend cards and played the game. It was not for me. I also don't like poison mechanic in One Deck Dungeon: Forest of Shadows - the game works best for me when I keep things simple. Also, like Zerbique says, ODD can be challenging enough without any expansions. I like my chances of winning a bit higher than this fiend card made it.
Well I wasn't quite correct... There will be 6 Fiends and 3 new heroes (Dragoon, Aquamancer, Witch) -described by the designer as a 'booster pack of 9 card'. So new heroes indeed!
Fiends card will have the same size as heroes one. They will presumably have two sides, one for 'normal' characters (for a one-shot dungeon crawl), one for campaign-hardened characters (the initial purpose of the mini-expansion).
According to the designer (Nov 27, 2019, so takes that with a grain of salt) it may have its own KS campaign.
All of this is obviously subject to change. I just picked up bits of infos on the various related forums (I quite like ODD -it's my first purchased-for-solo game and it will always keep a very special place in my collection, hence the interest here).
On July 11 the game has been described by the designer as 'Still planned'.
Thank you for the info, Zerbique! So this will either be part of another Kickstarter, since it's so small, or be released straight to retail. We'll see.
Abyssal Depths is a mini-expansion for ODD. Rather than adding new heroes, items, monsters, bosses/dungeons, it adds a new mechanic that can be combined with any of the former contents. This mechanic are fiends that follow you throughout the dungeons and that hurt you if you don't regularly spend dice to lower their threat level. The PnP has been available for a while. Not that I have tried it. I have personally no interest in pumping up the challenge of an already sometimes difficult game.
Me too. 😄
This is the first I've heard of Abyssal Depths.
