What's the Internet Speed in your neck-of-the-woods?

Then I cut-back on my 'plan' to save money, so now they're throttling me back to this:

A couple of years ago the cable guys (Xfinity/Comcast) were workin' in front of my neighbor's house and had dug this up. I went out to ask what the heck that thing was. It's a fiber-optic cable splice. My foot was intentionally inserted into the photo for size perspective. I have small feet, though (7 in US/39-40 in Europe (depending on which chart I look at)). 🙂

@Cadet Stimpy What I was truly fond of were the summer evenings, when twilight lasts for one hour or more. After the heat of the day, the temperature becomes pleasant. There are no shadows any more, and you can see everything perfectly as night has yet to show up. And there is a soothing grassy, earthy smell as all plants start to breathe more freely. These were great moments.

In Paris, I still love to have a walk at 8/9 pm, but parks close at 9 in Summer so I can't wander too long. And walking on concrete alongside busy roads has no charm really.

@Zerbique Well, as I recall, you grew-up in the country and didn't like it.  But when you weren't feeding pigs at 4:30am, pitchin' hay when it was way too hot, or shovelin' manure, you must have enjoyed the peacefulness.  🙂

We're past midnight and still a meager 7.6... But, hey, half of the people are probably still watching Netflix, the other half must be downloading the movie they'll watch tomorrow night. Nothing is wrong with my connection.

(Actually, they should have installed the fiber years ago, only the people of my building voted against it, because they are mostly elderly people with no Internet. Since I'm not a landlord but have to rent my apartment, I don't have the right to vote of course.)
