War of the Worlds: France and Japan

I have the Japan one, it's a fun game but a bit long and random. I thought about selling it but I like the theme and presentation.

Yeah, they look pretty war-gamey, but perhaps not as complex as many others. I ordered the France one. Oops, I wasn't supposed to do that, but they sucked me in with their Black Friday price. Those bastards, prayin' on my weakness.

I once contemplated getting the "France" one (because it was very cheap, not because it was France, as I would prefer the Japan one), but it seems to be very much a wargame and I'm not much into these.

Still, these are titles I would like to try once, if learning rules wasn't so costly of course.
