Shadi Torbey talks to "Play It Yourself" Pedro about Stellarion (and how it's related to Aerion), his own publishing company inPatience (thanks, Asmodee!) and the Meaning of Life, The Oniverse and Everything.
Game Designer by day, Opera Singer by night. Unusual combination of jobs, I'd say. I liked his comments about the relaxing and pleasurable nature of going away from screens. I was able to snag a copy of Urbion a while back. I wonder if the new one will come in the size of box the other Oniverse games come in. The original Urbion box is quite a bit smaller than the other games.
@Zerbique In all honesty, I picked-up Urbion to complete my Oniverse collection. It was primarily a "collector thing", so I'd have all of 'em. It wasn't too expensive and it takes-up very little shelf space, so, what the hell? 🙂
@Zerbique Sure, Onirim isn't for everyone. It's an improved Patience, and that's a game I grew up with. Once you add in some expansions, I think it gets really good. Castellion and Sylvion may indeed be better suited for your taste. In both cases do skip the intro versions though, or don't judge the games by them. Add some of the advanced rules before you make up your mind.
In the end I now realize I didn't get Castellion (which I have once qualified as "the Oniverse game I'd get if I were to get one). It was supposed to be part of my Zombies!!! order that you have heard of from elsewhere, but it was already sold out.
The game is still very easy to find in the second-hand market so I'm bound to run into it again eventually.

Shadi seems like a nice person.
P.S. I'll surely buy Stellarion.
