Played Everdell Yesterday with my Gamin' Pal

So, what's at the top of your Wish List right now?

My top Wish Lister might be Quacks of Quedlinburg. It's 2-4 Players, but there's a well-received Solo Variant on BGG by Marek Tupy.

@Cadet Stimpy Oh yes I do, which is why I want the game! But I don't like worker placement, engine building, resource management. Just switch the theme to anything else and I will not be interested in the slightest!

@Zerbique Well, you could look at the pretty cards (and there's a lot of 'em). 🙂 So, if ya don't like worker placement, engine building, and resource management, what are your top 3 favorite mechanisms?

@Cadet Stimpy To be truly honest, I don't really care about the mechanisms in the sense that I only see this as a means to achieve something. For instance, I don't like Dominion as I feel it's aimless. But I like character progression, and a game that implement character progression through deck-building is something I can like.

You may also consider that Action Points in a dungeon crawler (you can use your actions to either rest, move, attack, etc.) are, in the end, pretty much akin to worker placement (especially if you can take each action only once, for instance), and I think Action Points is a pretty good system to implement time in a game.

I'll try nevertheless to answer as best as I can. I like:

- everything that involves spatial patterning

- area control (which also ties to space)

- trick taking

(Yes, I should (and want to!) try the solo trick-taking game you recommended last time, but PnP is a mechanism I really don't like!)
