A problem of too much bling for me is that boxes get heavier, and set up will take longer, so I will probably pick something else from the shelf. So, though I would love to go nuts building an actual fishing village in Nutsfjord, with cute houses and boats - it would not see the table much anymore.
I'd say Eldritch Horror then. Set up takes two hours anyway.
Yeah, a fishing village with cute houses and little boats would be cool. 🙂 But Eldritch Horror would be awesome. After I sift through the 1300+ images on BGG, I might find someone who's already gone nuts with custom stuff for EH, but it's time to go to bed (5am). To be continued...
Well, easy for me, it would be Root. Take the same game mechanics and set it in a conflict between Colonial Empires and I would have zero interest in it. The theme is essential in my liking of it. So I'd be very glad to let the theme shines even more.
The only think I'd really like, though, are better tokens. The cardboard ones are boring. I certainly don't want to replace the meeples with minis. These meeples are part of the appeal. They perfectly fit the intimate woodland atmosphere.
You mean with better deodorant tops? 😉 Maybe you could hire an artisan to craft some over-the-top components for ya. I'd love to do that with just one of my games. Might be somethin' for my bucket list.
@Athena Well, having you own redesigned board and cards, etc., sounds pricey, but do you really need a car, that could perhaps be traded for the aforementioned artwork changes? 😄

I'm thinking Underwater Cities. It would look lovely with some fancy components. ☺️
