Merry Christmas!!

@JW F**kin' COVID! Here, they're starting to try and make us panic (again) over the Omicron Variant (less than 10 people have died from it, worldwide, I believe), even though it's very mild, which I think is common when viruses mutate. What, like ~400,000 people die every year from the Influenza virus? Don't hear much about that. These COVID fear-mongers need to dial-it-down about 10000%.

That's a bummer to hear you guys are back in lockdown JW. We have restrictions in place again (no more than 10 people inside, 25 people outside etc). Hockey is shut down until at least January 10th now, restaurants are 50% compacity... I just hope we don't continue to follow suit with many European countries as we have the past two years. Seems like whatever you guys do over there, hits here a week or two later. 😥

@Derek so ok here’s the thing. I am thankful for when we are kindly “advised“ to not have more than 10 people inside, restaurants at 50% capacity, etc. But when they start enforcing their opinions on others then I have a problem. Yes people (including me) can be careless and inconsiderate about the health needs of others, but it should be up to the individual and/or business entity to decide these mandates. For instance, a starving restaurant owner may allow full capacity seating, in which case the fault does not lie with him but with the numerous patrons who decide to cram in there. I am responsible for keeping my family and myself safe. Thanks but no thanks to everyone else who tries to dictate how I go about that.

We actually had snow a couple days ago, Mike and woke up to freezing drizzle and rain Christmas morning. So it was a "white-ish" Christmas at least.
